I think we all feel this tremendous pace of change, and I think we all feelthat we're living through something a fundamental shift in what's possiblebecause of new technological horizons. But I'd also say, look, this workforce is resilient, right? We have five generations in the workforceright now. We've seen many technological shifts. We've seen the PC come into the workforce, internet, mobile, social media. And now this is justanother technological change. So what I think aboutis really in the long term, agility iswhat's going to win in the long term. And the other thingis really with any technology, we can get caught up inwhat the technology can do. But at the end of the day, what we're trying to achievein our organizations remains the same. So focus on the outcomes. Attracting talent, maximizing your attention, controllingyour cost, and being compliant. Focus on the outcomes and see what technology can do to help make that possible.

Women aren't the only ones who face challenges at work. But some issues — like pay inequity, imposter syndrome, discrimination, underrepresentation and the effort it takes to climb the corporate ladder — affect women differently. These challenges can take a toll on their mental wellness and impact physical health, relationships and career development. From the mental health meetup that took place during ADP's virtual Women@Work summit, here are a few strategies the participating HR leaders and industry experts shared for addressing common emotional and psychological challenges that women face in the workplace.

The direction and shape of career paths have evolved over the past few decades. It used to be common for employees to aim to climb the "corporate ladder" as high as possible and then stay there or risk starting again somewhere else on a lower rung. This vertical-only means of professional growth then transitioned to moving across the "corporate lattice," a concept where career possibilities expanded to include lateral and diagonal movement. This approach allowed employees to zigzag through a company's matrix of roles and amass a variety of skills, knowledge and experience. But the lattice, while beneficial in many ways, may not be the last word on how to best approach professional development. We can further evolve our approach to add another dimension of movement—depth—to conceptualize a successful career path. This new mindset can be thought of as "career leverage."
